System Schema

The figure below illustrates the workflow of the system involving the three main entities: Contributor, DataBase, User.

Contrinutors use the Warping tool to map their data onto the outlines of the Reference brain. This involves identifying fiducial landmarks / outlines which appear in both in the contributed data set and the reference brain. The data can be submitted from the Warping tool to the database and adding essential metadata describing the experimental setup. The data from the database can be downloaded / browsed via the web, and also queried by a number of analysis / visualization modules for cross-data set studies.
